For Georges Rousse Trophy

For Georges Rousse

For Georges Rousse is a trophy created as a tribute to a French photographer. The trophy is a three-dimensional sculpture based on anamorphosis, an optical effect in which a form looks distorted from most angles. Seen from one specific point, the folded planes align and show a flat circle with colored openings. The form was modeled with a three-dimensional computer program. Plates of cupro-nickel and silver were cut, folded and soldered, then colored by heat to create a contrast between black and white. The trophy measures 115 by 137 by 154 millimeters.

WCG Champions Trophy

WCG Champions

WCG Champions is a trophy designed for the winners of the World Cyber Games tournament. The trophy stands 600 mm tall, measures 180 mm at its widest point and weighs 2.5 kg, or 5 kg with its wooden case. The streamlined form follows an hourglass motif, chosen to represent the flow of time through past, present and future. The event emblem is set between the curved wings of the body. A clear base, an outer cover and the emblem were made by three-dimensional printing in ABS resin, then assembled and finished with black chrome and gold seals. The trophy is presented at the closing ceremony.

Old Parr Branding and Redesign

Old Parr

Old Parr is a packaging design for a range of Scotch whisky. The crackled bottle and its tilted form are retained and enhanced to keep the tactile quality of the pack and its feel in the hand when pouring. The organic crackled pattern was developed together with the glassmaker. The labels are printed on a metallic substrate with white and six colors, two varnishes and one embossing plate. The boxes use the same metallic substrate and a sculpted embossing plate that repeats the crackle. An Old English typeface and the age statement recall the history of the brand.

Xarin Series of Labels for the Farm Wines

Xarin

Xarin is a series of labels created for a range of farm wines. Each label measures 30 by 135 millimetres and combines an unusual geometry with a concise layout. The shape is drawn from the alcohol meter and from the tall barrels used for wine aging, and it follows the curves of the bottle. The labels are produced on textured paper with flexographic printing and raised gloss varnish. A gift box of 100 by 330 millimetres is made of wood. The aim is to make the packaging easy to notice among many wine labels at points of sale.

Bakers Dozen 13 Pack Egg Carton

Bakers Dozen

The Baker's Dozen Egg Carton is a reusable molded pulp carton that holds 13 eggs. The eggs are arranged in two rows of four with a row of five between them. The carton is made of 100 percent recycled paper, using the traditional molded paper fiber method. Large packing machines handle even numbers of eggs, so the 13-egg carton is intended for small producers who pack eggs by hand at farm stands and farmers markets. A debossed logo keeps the surface smooth, so farmers can add their own labels.
